WEEKLY MISSION #10

It has been an interesting week, with all kinds of up and downs, twists and turns. What I want to share with you comes from today’s Jesus Calling and Colossians 1:27  – And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.

I don’t where you are today, or what you are dealing with, but Christ lives in you.

I don’t who God has called you to serve or minister to, but Christ lives in you.

I don’t what God has called you to do, but Christ lives in you.

In all that you do, know that Christ lives in you, so that you might glorify Him.

  1. For what it is worth, I happened to see your exchange on Holy Hot and Humorous. I didn’t see your post in question but I wanted to note I actually disagreed with Amy regarding her perception that sites like this are headed towards more detail. I actually applaud it and think it’s quite healthy. Sexuality in itself is a good, and the blogs in question are describing it in a marital context, so I see the additional detail as healthy, as long as it’s provided in a way that is helpful.

    • I actually just deleted a small portion of my original post because it was written in the narrative about one of my personal experiences. At the time I wrote it, I wasn’t sure it should be there, and after reading Amy, I was just convicted that it should not be there. I teach classes weekly, and this is something I would have never said in class. I figure if I shouldn’t say it in person, then I shouldn’t write it.
Don’t worry, I am not concerned about a respectful conversation of how to do things. I am looking forward to writing next weeks article.

      • Well, good. I think it’s good to caution on the side of allowing it in, but only if it’s within your comfort level. You’re doing a great job!

  2. I also read your exchange on Holy Hot and Humorous and I feel you should express your personal experiences within the context of your marriage, to the extent you feel comfortable to do so. I am impressed with your obedience to your faith. God has called you to this ministry. Thank you for expressing your sexuality within marriage. God desires for husbands and wives to experience intimate, sexual union and in doing so, achieve infinite fulfillment in Him.

    • Thanks for the encouragement. It has been a process sorting out the lines of where I should and should not go. I teach classes to women and to men, and I think what I have decided, is if I would not say it in person, than I should not write it. I can share plenty while still being respectful and not causing people to visualize what happens in my bed.
      Blessings, Ruth
