Become a Facilitator

facilitatorHave you experienced the Awaken-Love study and want to share it with a group of friends? Are you looking for a woman’s study that will really addresses the topic of sex? Do you wish the church would start talking about God’s good and holy gift of sex within marriage?

We encourage you to pray about leading a group of married women through the Awaken-Love Video Class.  The class can be as intimate as two of you or as large as fifteen. Using interactive videos, we provide the teaching with plenty of prompts for small group discussion. Women will connect and share as they process and learn God’s desire for their sex life.

All it takes is….

  • A desire to strengthen marriages – especially in the area of intimacy.
  • The ability to create a safe and warm environment for sharing and learning.
  • A strong faith and a willingness to pray for others.
  • A sensitivity and a compassion for those that are struggling.
  • A solid marriage – your husband must support you facilitating the study.
  • A willingness to share your own struggles and triumphs – to be real.
  • A private place to meet weekly for two hours for six weeks that has internet access and a screen/TV to stream the videos so that everyone in your class can see and hear.

Whether you have taken a live Awaken-Love class before or not, you can facilitate a class using the Awaken-Love Video Class.  If you are interested in learning more, then please review how video classes work and the Video Facilitator Guide.  Then gather your group of women, register your video class and get started on a journey discovering God’s best for your marriage bed.

“When God put it on my heart to facilitate my neighborhood small group in the Awaken-Love curriculum, I wasn’t sure exactly how it was going to work out.  I remember a few questions that raced across my mind like: Were the ladies going to be receptive? Were they going to think I thought I was an “expert” in this area? Was my marriage strong enough? Even though I knew these were pretty normal concerns, I also remember hearing the still small voice of God, reassuring me that He would bear the bulk of this weight – that I was to simply step out in faith. And so that’s what I did.

After talking with Melanie and Ruth, I felt assured and confident that I would be equipped with all the support I would need. Along with the videos and weekly curriculum, I was able to ask them any questions I had or confide in them any concern. I remember being amazed that with all they had going on, they were readily available to help me.

I think the best thing about facilitating a group, other than bringing God’s truth to hungry married women, is God bringing His truth to life in my own marriage. Going back through the curriculum as a facilitator gave me a deeper understanding and helped me not only believe God for His promises in my head, but experience them in my heart and body.

Another step toward freedom can’t ever be a bad thing, right? If God is nudging you to facilitate a small group, He who has called you is faithful and will do it. Step out in faith with Him today. He will either catch you or teach you how to fly!”
